Bei BEN GRANFELTs<\/strong> 21. Soloalbum handelt es sich um eine besondere Ver\u00f6ffentlichung, denn nicht viele K\u00fcnstler bringen dieser Tage ihre Alben noch auf CD und Vinyl heraus. Ganz zu schweigen von einer Doppel-CD\/Doppel-LP als Kombination aus Studio- und Livealbum.<\/p>\n

\u201eIch war in letzter Zeit so inspiriert zu spielen und viele Leute haben schon lange nach Intrumentalst\u00fccken gefragt \u2026 also bitte sehr, ein reines Intrumentalalbum\u201c, sagt BEN GRANFELT<\/strong> \u00fcber die Studio CD\/LP von \u201eIt\u2019s Personal\u201c.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ben<\/strong> spielt Gitarre, rein zum eigenen Vergn\u00fcgen, ohne Regeln und Einschr\u00e4nkungen, sondern als eine sch\u00f6ne Sammlung musikalischer Statements. Es sind neun Tracks mit Melodien, Riffs, verschiedenen Klangtexturen und ja, nat\u00fcrlich gibt es Soli, aber sie bleiben Teil der Songs, anstatt dass die Songs eine Ausrede f\u00fcr endloses Gefrickel sind.<\/p>\n

\u00dcber die Aufnahmen sagt BEN GRANFELT<\/strong>: \u201eZusammen mit Masa Maijanen (Bass) und Jari Salminen (Schlagzeug) habe ich die Basistracks live in einem gro\u00dfen Raum aufgenommen. Dann habe ich mich in meinem kleinen Studio eingeschlossen und hatte dort die wunderbarste Zeit, Gitarrentracks aufzunehmen und Sounds zu kreiieren. Ich denke ehrlich, dass ich etwas ganz Besonderes und Pers\u00f6nliches geschaffen habe und bin wirklich sehr stolz auf das Ergebnis.\u201c<\/p>\n

Die Live CD\/LP wiederum beweist, dass Ben<\/strong> auch ein hervorragender S\u00e4nger ist und sie ist gleichzeitig ein weiteres Zeugnis f\u00fcr eine Band, die maximalen Spass hat an dem, was sie tut. Aufgenommen \u00a0in der gleichen Powertrio-Besetzung mit Masa Majanen am Bass und Jari Salminen am Schlagzeug w\u00e4hrend der Tour 2024 zum Jubil\u00e4umsalbum \u201eGratitude\u201c (Bens Hommage an Jeff Beck, Robin Trower und Gary Moore) zeigt sich, dass kein BEN GRANFELT<\/strong> \u2013 Konzert dem anderen gleicht. Es wird viel gejammt und die Songs unterscheiden sich meist recht deutlich von den aufgenommenen Studioversionen.<\/p>\n

Neben BEN GRANFELT<\/strong> Originalen befinden sich auf der Live CD\/LP auch der Robin Trower Song \u201eBridge Of Sighs\u201c, das neun Minten lange \u201eBreathe\u201c von Pink Floyd und\u00a0 der Klassiker \u201eCocaine\u201c von J.J. Cale, alle in ganz pers\u00f6nlichen Versionen des Meisters.<\/p>\n

Die erste digitale Single des Intrumentalalbums ist \u201eCrash Test Dummy\u201c, die Ben<\/strong> folgenderma\u00dfen kommentiert:<\/p>\n

\u201eIn den Riffs kommt mein innerer Jeff Beck zum Vorschein. Ich versuche nicht ansatzweise, es zu verbergen. Die Wiederholung des ersten Riffs brachte mich auf die Idee f\u00fcr den Titel. Diese Stopps sind wie eine Art Crash. Anstatt eines normalen, rasanten Solos habe ich beschlossen, etwas Sanftes und Melodisches zu kreieren, bevor ich wieder zum Riff zur\u00fcckkehre.\u201c<\/p>\n

Zur Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von \u201eIt\u2019s Personal\u201c<\/strong> werden Ben<\/strong> und seine Band ab Anfang Juni zahlreiche Konzerte in Finnland spielen und im September\/Oktober auch in Deutschland auf Tour sein.\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n
