Fesselnde Geschichten aus dem Leben, gesammelt auf den Stra\u00dfen der Welt, unterwegs von Bar zu Bar ziehend und dazu s\u00fc\u00dfe, warme Harmonien: das ist die Mischung, mit welcher Gil Edwards <\/b>seine Zuh\u00f6rer begeistert und was ihn hervorstechen l\u00e4sst. Mit seiner markanten, energetischen Stimme berichtet er von seinen Erlebnissen und Erfahrungen aus dem letzten halben Jahrhundert.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alles begann vor 50 Jahren auf der Autor\u00fccksitzbank. Der kleine Gil aus Medford, Oregon, war mit seiner Familie auf dem Weg zum Disneyland in Los Angeles, als im Radio der Beatles Hit \u201eShe Loves You\u201c gespielt wurde. Dieser Song packte den Jungen sofort und es war klar, das war seine Destination: Rockstar. Fest entschlossen eine elektrische Gitarre aufzutreiben begann er seine Karriere. Einige Zeit sp\u00e4ter, noch immer ohne Gitarre, schenkte sein Vater ihm ein Jagdhund, den Gil sehr lieb hatte, welcher jedoch seiner Suche nach dem ersehnten Zupfinstrument kein Ende setzen konnte. Erst als ein Arbeitskollege seines Vaters nach einem Jagdhund suchte und bereit war seine Gitarre dagegen zu tauschen, erf\u00fcllten sich Gils Tr\u00e4ume. Autodidaktisch begann der kleine Junge Radiosongs nachzuspielen und probierte sich aus. Lediglich blutige Finger zwangen ihn zu kurzen Pausen, wonach es jedoch direkt weiterging. Da sein Vater die schiefen Kl\u00e4nge nicht ertrug, \u00fcbte Gil von nun an t\u00e4glich vier Stunden im Stall und die Pferde wurden seine ersten Zuh\u00f6rer und Bewunderer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seit dem Eintritt in seine erste Band 1966 hat der nun seit einigen Jahren in Norwegen lebende und arbeitende Gitarrist und Singer-Songwriter eine beachtliche Karriere hingelegt. Es folgten viele weitere Bands darunter: The Rainbow Revolution, The Night Monsters, Billie Hayes Band, Enertia<\/i> und viele mehr. Zudem arbeitete Gil an zahlreichen Aufnahmeprojekten und Kooperationsprojekten mit, woraus lebenslange Freundschaften entstanden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seine erste Albumproduktion wurde 1999 unter dem Titel \u201eCan\u2019t Give It Up<\/i>\u201c ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Diese wurde f\u00fcnf Jahre sp\u00e4ter von dem zweiten Album \u201eMayday Situation<\/i>\u201c gefolgt. Reich an Eindr\u00fccken und voller Dankbarkeit f\u00fcr viele gro\u00dfartige Menschen, welche Gil auf seinem Weg begleitet, unterst\u00fctzt und mit ihm zusammen gearbeitet haben, m\u00f6chte der einf\u00fchlsame Rockstar aus Oregon nun sein 50 j\u00e4hriges B\u00fchnenjubil\u00e4um mit einer dritten Albumproduktion feiern. Und wie k\u00f6nnte Sie einen anderen Titel tragen als \u201eCelebrate<\/i>\u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bei dieser Produktion standen ihm zahlreiche hochkar\u00e4tige Musiker zur Seite. So sind auf dieser Platte Martin Engelien am Bass, Joerg Dudys und Dennis Hormes an der Gitarre, Tim Ole Hoff und Dirk Brand an den Drums, Pitti Hecht an den Perkussionsinstrumenten, Kai Weiner am Keyboard und Angie Damschen und Chuck Plaisance als Backing Vocals zu h\u00f6ren.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>Gil Edwards ist Musik die aus der Seele und dem Herzen kommt, mit starken Texten ohne Kompromisse und packenden Gitarrensounds. Das neue Album \u201eCelebrate<\/i>\u201c ist eine Dankesbotschaft an eine gro\u00dfartige Zeit mit pr\u00e4genden Menschen und Eindr\u00fccken und der Auftakt f\u00fcr eine Fortsetzung der Show bis der gro\u00dfe Vorhang f\u00e4llt.<\/span><\/p>\n
